Subject: Recent television advertisement
Dear Mr. Marchionne:

I would first like to thank you for your hard work in getting Chrysler past its bankruptcy. Also your dedication and vision toward the company will help Chrysler become a much stronger company, then the one you entered into. Unfortunately, I recently viewed an advertisement for the new Chrysler 200 that I felt did not do a proper job of displaying the vehicles benefits and qualities. The advertisement in question was the one that aired during the super bowl it featured the rapper Eminem. The featured rapper was not the issue to me, he may help bring a younger demographic to the company. What I took issue with was how the commercial was focused on the City of Detroit. How will the commercial create enthusiasm for the Chrysler 200? I feel that the commercial came across more as a commercial for the City of Detroit and not for a specific brand or model. It felt like the advertisement could have just as easily been for a Chevy Volt or Ford Mustang. To ensure the general public views the commercial as a commercial for the Chrysler 200, not just for Detroit there needs to be a stronger focus on the vehicle. Talk about the features or quality of the car. Make a strong case for the high quality of the vehicle, one of perceived weak points of domestic vehcicles. The motto ‘this is the motor city and this is what we do’ is a great slogan, but there needs to be a larger focus on why what we do is better.

                                         Sincerely,
                                                     Your Name
